Preparing for Baby

Week 34
I feel that I have spread out all the "to-do" lists in preparing for baby's arrival. I have been considered to be "nesting" since 4-months, so I have had quite a span of time in accomplishing a lot. Here is a list of things that I have done specifically to prepare for baby...some are practical, some are humorous, and some have nothing to do with baby at all (but it "needed" to be done in my opinion before a baby was to be brought home.) At the end of this post I will also list things that are still in progress of being done or are being planned out to be done right before baby's arrival.

Accomplished

  • Nursery
  • All closets have been cleaned out and re-organized
  • Furniture in rooms have been re-arranged to accommodate baby swing, bassinet, changing table, etc.
  • Air Duct Cleaning
  • Set up (temporary) bassinet, rocker, and changing station in our master bedroom
I cleaned off my dresser and plan to use it as a temporary
changing station until Baby moves into the Nursery.
The glider was not a planned piece of furniture to
have in our home/bedroom, but a welcome one!
(It was a surprise gift)

The bassinet is set up on my side of the bed, and near the
changing table and glider area. Planning on have
baby sleep in this in our room for the first few weeks.
